Statement of Teaching Philosophy

My primary goal in the classroom is to inspire engaged learning. To that end, I aspire to accomplish several objectives in every course that I teach: (1) establish an open space for critical dialogue in the classroom; (2) make knowledge relevant; (3) encourage students' diverse learning styles; and (4) cultivate critical thinking skills.
